Can we do more about poverty? Should we do more? A recent census taken in Canada indicated that 4.8 million people now fall below the poverty line, of those, 1.2 million are children under 18. Are we doing enough to fight poverty, should we do more? Dr. Greg Mason, a professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Manitoba will explore this issue. Dr. Mason is a certified management consultant and economist specializing in applied policy analysis and forecasting. In addition to teaching, he has worked on numerous consulting assignments and has written for many publications including the Winnipeg Free Press.
